Those conversations have led to an increasing number of requests from precast producers operating large batch plants capable of producing three cubic yards or more per cycle. These facilities needed a more efficient way to transport larger volumes of concrete from the batch plant to molds and forms while keeping production moving.

EZG engineered a solution around their operation.

For years, most custom precast delivery units leaving the EZG facility were designed with capacities of approximately two cubic yards. As customers expanded their operations and increased production, their equipment needs changed as well.
The result is a new generation of custom precast delivery equipment, including four- and six-yard delivery units engineered to move significantly more material with fewer trips between the batch plant and production floor. Designed specifically for precast plants operating large batch systems, these units provide an efficient method of transporting concrete while integrating seamlessly into existing workflows.
Each machine is designed around the customer’s operation and can include features such as four-way forklift pockets for easy transport across the plant with rough-terrain forklifts, integrated crane bails for overhead lifting, self-contained hydraulic power units, wireless remote controls that allow operators to control the unit while transporting it, and customized discharge systems designed specifically for individual mold layouts and production processes.
The objective is not simply to build a larger machine. It is to improve efficiency throughout the entire production process.
For many facilities, these custom delivery units also serve as a practical alternative to purchasing a dedicated self-propelled concrete transport vehicle. By utilizing forklifts and overhead cranes already operating within the plant, producers can move substantial amounts of material while making better use of equipment they already own.

Inside our 185,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, engineering, fabrication, machining, welding, painting, and mechanical assembly are performed in-house. With a 15-ton lifting capacity and 13 feet under the hook, our team is equipped to manufacture everything from standard production models to fully customized precast equipment and material handling systems.

It also reduces reliance on outside suppliers, allowing typical lead times to remain in the eight- to ten-week range depending on the complexity of the project and requested customizations.
